This course is designed to explore major philosophical issues, and as such, your answers will be evaluated primarily on content and supporting details. However, since grammar, mechanics, organization and style influence the overall effectiveness of a written communication, these factors will be taken into consideration |

NOTE: Written work should be submitted on time. Late papers will be lowered one letter grade each day after the scheduled due date.
IMPT: The course is divided into five (5) assignments blocks, with essay questions provided for each section. However, you need to submit written assignments for only three (3) of the assignment blocks. You choose which of the three blocks to write about and then submit your work by the dates listed for those blocks. For example, if you may choose to write essays for blocks to 1,3, and 5, your written work will be due on Sept. 20, Nov. 8 and Dec. 8.
A student may take the final exam at one of Columbia State’s other sites at a more convenient time and date. However, the student must request in writing that I mail a copy of the exam to the appropriate site director, and this request must be made prior to Nov. 16. It is also the students responsibility to schedule the exam, to arrange for an approved proctor and to make sure the completed exam is mailed back to me so that I receive it before Dec. 15. No test may be scheduled before Dec. 1.
